"Man In The Mirror"
I'm Gonna Make A Change,
For Once In My Life
It's Gonna Feel Real Good,
Gonna Make A Difference
Gonna Make It Right . . .

So much of the inspiration in my life come from music, its has such a huge power over me, songs have a way of speaking to my soul. This little bit of insight was inspired by the late great Michael Jackson. This amazing song just happened to be playing one day while I was pondering the meaning of life and the reason for my existence.
For the greater part of my life I've wanted to save the world, I’ve dreamt up plans on how to take over the world, preached my beliefs on what would make the world better, gotten angry with people, ranted, raved, moaned, lectured, sent out countless e-mails, written letters complaining about how cruel, unethical, and “ungreen” people are being.
I think about the starving children, see homeless people on the streets and it all fuels my anger at the human race. Anger, rage, and an almost pathological need to make people understand why I'm angry.  But thinking about it, how much change has my anger brought about? At most my ranting and raving gets a few people to think a little bit, but most are not promoted into action. My e-mails and online activism are not the same as going out into the real world and fighting for what I believe in. Doing some volunteer work at an animal shelter or a soup kitchen going out to protest over the ever increasing injustices going on all around me will do much more than changing my facebook status. Teaching one person how to properly care for their pets, or explaining the huge responsibility of owning a pet makes more of a difference than starting and “I hate irresponsible pet owners” group. Cooking a meal for a family in need gives them more than just a full tummy, it gives them hope and faith in the human race, and a willingness to help others in need.

I used to think that changing the world meant bringing huge numbers of people around to my way of thinking, that it would take some huge event to make people change. But the truth is it doesn't, all that’s needed is for me to live my life in a way that is compatible with my beliefs, and all the small things I do will make a huge difference. It's a simple case of people are more likely to do something if they see it working for me. I have no plans to become the world dictator in in the near future, no plans to preach my beliefs, or to judge other people. I plan to take the time to get my life exactly the way I want it to be. My life's resolution is to change the world by starting with me, just me, that’s it.

Hope you all have a Super day off, enjoy the video
